산업통상자원부는 화학산업의 지속가능한 성장을 위해 민관협력을 강화하고 과감한 규제개선을 추진하고 있습니다. 산업부와 한국석유화학협회는 12일 오후 서울 플라자호텔에서 석유화학공업 신년회를 개최한다. 이번 인사회에는 장영진 산업부 차관이 참석할 예정이다. 특히 장 차관은 어려운 글로벌 경제환경 속에서도 543억불 수출을 달성한 석유화학산업의 노력을 치하할 예정이다. 이와 함께 정부는 화학산업 발전 방향을 심도 있게 논의하고 기술개발과 세제지원, 규제개선 방안을 마련하기 위해 화학산업포럼을 출범키로 했다.특히, 도입이 어려운 친환경 나프타 분해로, 전량 수입에 의존하는 친환경 원료인 재생가능 납사에 대한 쿼터관세 등을 올해부터 2030년까지 핵심기술 개발을 지원할 계획이다. 업계의 수입 부담을 완화하기 위해 유류수입과징금 징수가 면제됩니다. 폐플라스틱 열분해유의 생산과 해중합 공정을 화학공업으로 분류함으로써 우리 기업들이 화학공단에 입주하여 투자할 수 있는 여건을 조성하였다. 장 차관은 “올 상반기 중 화학산업포럼을 발족해 화학산업 수출·투자 확대를 지원하고 중장기 로드맵을 마련하겠다”며 올해 화학산업 정책추진 방향을 공유했다. 장기적인 성장을 위해." 이를 위해 샤힌 프로젝트 등 화학산업 투자계획과 열분해유 등 친환경 고부가가치 신소재 생산설비의 안정적 추진을 위해 규제 개선을 적극 지원할 계획이다. 또한 온실가스 배출규제 등 수시로 급변하는 수출시장에 유연하게 대응할 수 있도록 기술개발 지원을 더욱 확대할 계획입니다. 또한 장 차관은 “급변하는 국제정세에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해서는 석유화학업계와 정부가 하나가 되어 우리가 직면한 도전을 슬기롭게 극복해 나가야 한다”고 강조했다.
